About Sunlit Reel

Who we are. Sunlit Reel is an online service run by App Business Ventures LLC, a company registered in Texas, USA. We make memorial and celebration-of-life videos for families planning a funeral, a memorial service or a gathering.

What we make. A slideshow video of someone's life from the photos their family uploads: the photos in order, with slow pans and zooms, soft crossfades, an opening title with their name and dates, a closing title, optional captions and music from our own library. You get a widescreen HD version for a TV or projector and a vertical version for phones.

How it's made. The video is assembled by our software, not edited by hand. It reads the date each photo was taken, finds the faces so they stay in the frame, builds the pans, titles and captions, and mixes the music. Damaged old photos (scratches, tears, dust, faded colour) are repaired with AI image tools, and the software checks that every repaired face still matches the original; a photo that doesn't pass is used as it was. Before any video is sent, an automatic check looks at frames from every part of it: no black or stretched frames, faces in view, music playing and the name as you typed it.

How you pay. You see the whole video as a free draft first. If you want it, you pay $89 once, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. The HD video follows within 12 hours. If it's ever later, we refund you automatically and still send it. For 14 days after you pay there's a refund button on your order page.

Your photos. We use them only to make your video. We never share them, show them to anyone else or use them to train AI. They are deleted 30 days after your video is delivered, and photos for drafts that aren't bought are deleted 14 days after the last change. More in our privacy policy.

Our music. Every piece in our library is our own recording: hymns and classical pieces whose music is in the public domain, and a few originals we wrote. That's why your video is safe to play at the service and to post online. See the list.
